Since the last time I changed the overal look of CoolMentality.com there have been quite some changes. Were to begin.
Well, now there is a possibility to search by category. Very handy for the feature.
The top left and right header boxes are tagged with “comin soon”. Still need to figure out what to put there. The top middle header box will have a favourite video. Whenever I find another video good enough to be featured there, then I’ll swap it.

I dropped some plugins that I really didn’t need. I felt they were more for bigger sites and I really didn’t need all the features. So I replaced those with simple functions.
Got me another gallery plugin. This gallery now contains all the uploaded images, so no more categories. And the beauty is, I don’t have todo anything, whenever I post a new entry and upload a new picture for that post, it will automatically be placed in the media gallery and with a link back to the blog post.

I also found and installed some other usefull plugins I was looking for.

I’m only worried about the sitespeed. Because of me constantly changing aspects of this website, I’m not sure a cache plugin would be helpful.
Need to look into that.

The sidebar. I replaced my last tweets for showing funny, interesting or inspirational tweets that I saved as favourites on Twitter.
The frontpage got a little restyling. The footer too. I love it so much more! And don’t forget the colors. I like this look, more then the last one.
